3Music Awards returns to celebrate artistes

After a two-year hiatus, 3Media Networks returned with the highly anticipated 3Music Awards this September to honor and celebrate musicians.

The award ceremony will celebrate musicians and their works in over 20 categories, including the coveted Artist of the Year, which is the top prize.

This was announced by the Chief Executive Officer of 3Media Networks, Rashidatu Yasmine Abdulai, in a recent press soiree.

“Today, I am thrilled to announce the return of the 3Music Awards in September,” she said.

Yasmin said her outfit had been hard at work reimagining the awards to ensure they did not only celebrate musical excellence but also set new industry standards.

“This year, we are introducing fresh elements to captivate the audience and honor the artistes who inspire us,” she added.

3Music Awards which was founded in 2018 was more than just an event; it was a celebration of creativity, talent, and vibrant culture.

The renewed commitment of the scheme was to showcase the best in music and amplify the voices of local artistes while creating an inclusive and unforgettable experience.

As it became popular, it was championed to break the monopoly of the 25-year-old Ghana Music Awards (GMA).

It tightened the loose screws; where the GMA appeared to spotlight the mainstream, the 3Music Awards apparently juggled mainstream and alternative acts in their recognition efforts, giving hope to young artists in the industry.
