According to Fiifi Tackie, the Ayew family’s spokesman, contrary to allegations that the Ayew brothers had retired from the Black Stars, the two brothers remain devoted to the team’s success.

In a social media post, Fiifi Tackie revealed that his most recent encounter with both Andre and Jordan Ayew revealed that they are not considering retiring from the Black Stars.

Dede, the Black Stars’ captain, and his brother Jordan, he added, are dedicated to serving the country and will continue to do so.

”Andrè and Jordan Ayew are still very committed to the Black Stars team as they have always been. They will keep donning the Black Stars jersey to represent Ghana and give the team their very best on and off the pitch, as always. We just got off the phone” Takie tweeted

On Wednesday, it was reported that the Ayews had opted to leave the Black Stars.

According to the article, the decision was made in response to a series of attacks by Ghanaians following the team’s loss in the AFCON 2021.

Dede Ayew scored Ghana’s first goal of the tournament, while his brother failed to find the target in the competition, which saw the Black Stars finish last in their group.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s Football Association has fired Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac for overseeing the country’s worst AFCON since independence.
