The Black Meteors of Ghana faced a tough challenge from the Congo national team in their match at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium. Despite a late resurgence from Congo, Ghana managed to secure a 3-2 victory, which propelled them to joint top position in Group A alongside the hosts, Morocco.

Ghana’s coach, Ibrahim Tanko, recognized the need for a change in the team’s performance after a poor first-half display. He made two crucial substitutions at half-time, bringing on Hafiz Ibrahim and Emmanuel Yeboah to inject fresh energy into the team.

The impact of these substitutions was immediate, as Ghana swiftly took the lead in the 50th minute. Ernest Nuamah capitalized on a well-executed team move to find the back of the net, giving Ghana a much-needed boost.
Emmanuel Yeboah, who had received praise from former Black Stars legend Asamoah Gyan, lived up to the expectations placed upon him. He showcased his promise and skill by scoring a fantastic solo goal in the 76th minute, extending Ghana’s lead to 2-0.
The game witnessed some drama when Arko Mensah missed a penalty, which was retaken due to an infringement. However, it was Emmanuel Yeboah who eventually took the penalty and converted it, securing his brace and Ghana’s third goal in the 83rd minute.

Despite Ghana’s strong performance, Congo demonstrated their resilience and fighting spirit by scoring two quick goals. This made for a tense ending to the match, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats.

Overall, the Black Meteors of Ghana showed their determination and ability to overcome challenges, securing an important victory that placed them in a favorable position in Group A.
