Ace gospel musician Amy Newman has revealed that during her state of depression, God separated her from all points of human contact for the past four years to enable her to know, understand, and relate to him better.

According to her, although she knew God, she was able to relate to him well when she was alone with him in the room for four years.

Speaking in an interview with Max Morning Agenda in Accra on Friday, the “Tsei Me Moborosu” hitmaker stated that God is still silent and anyone who wants to know him should listen to his or her intuition to determine how God speaks.

Amy Newman, narrating her ordeal, said she went on hiatus for 17 years and returned in 2018 with a track titled “Siesie Me.” After a year, she started to battle with depression.

Medically, she was proven to be healthy and fit, yet she knew there was something spiritually and physically wrong with her.

Amy Newman could recall that people were having frantic dreams about her, while she also had similar nightmares seeing herself in the cemetery, adding that “my dressing was completely off, and it was as if I didn’t even know how to dress.”

In all that, she said she learned to trust in God and remained in the room with him without the help of any man of God to fight her depression.
