The weekend football action in Europe saw Ghanaian footballer stars making big impacts for their respective clubs.

England

Bournemouth’s 2-2 draw with Aston Villa saw Antoine Semenyo score his third goal for the Cherries.

In West Ham United’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, Mohammed Kudus scored his third goal of this season.

In Crystal Palace’s 1-1 tie with West Ham, Jordan Ayew played for the whole ninety minutes.

In the Championship, Leicester City defeated West Brom 2-1 with Fatawu Issahaku playing 29 minutes.

Italy

Alfred Duncan played 63 minutes for Fiorentina in their 3-0 victory over Salernitana in Serie A.

Ibrahim Sulemana played for Cagliari for 59 minutes in their 1-0 loss to Lazio.

Spain

Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams scored the third goal in Athletic Bilbao’s 4-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano on Saturday while Abdul Mumin played the entire game for the losing side.

France

Koffi Kouao played 10 minutes for the Metz in their 2-0 loss to Lille in Ligue 1.

Abdul Samed Salis played full throttle of Lens’ 3-2 victory over Lyon while Ernest Nuamah played 85 minutes for the losing side.

Nicholas Opoku played 90 minutes for Amiens in their 1-0 Ligue II victory over St. Etienne.

Gideon Mensah and Elisha Owusu, two Ghanaians, both played in Auxerre’s 3-2 victory over Quevilly Rouen.

Germany

Christopher Antwi-Adjei made a big impact in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon when he scored the game-winning goal for VfL Bochum in their 3-1 victory over Wolfsburg.

Kwasi Okyere Wriedt made a cameo appearance for Vfl Osnabruck in their 4-0 loss to Schalke in Bundesliga II.

In Hamburger’s 2-2 tie with St. Pauli, Ghanaian players Stephan Ambrosius and Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorffer were involved.

Belgium

Ghanaian teammates Joseph Paintsil and Christopher Bonsu-Baah played for Genk as they drew 2-2 draw with Gent in the Jupiler Pro League

In Club Brugge’s 2-0 victory over St. Liege, Denis Odoi came off the bench to play seven minutes.

Kamal Sowah played 25 minutes as St. Liege defeated Club Brugge 2-0.

In Eupen’s 1-1 tie with Kortrijk, Isaac Nuhu played 86 minutes of the game.

Anderlecht defeated Westerlo 3-1 as Majeed Ashimeru featured for them.

Denmark

Ibrahim Osman came off the bench to play 20 minutes in Nordsjaelland’s 1-1 tie with Odense.
