Kwesi Appiah has left Ghana to start working as the national team’s head coach for Sudan.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II authorized Appiah, the Chairman of Asante Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee (IMC), to train the senior national team of Sudan.

Kwesi Appiah will continue to serve in his position at the club despite being given permission to enter into a contract to lead the Sudanese national team.

On Monday, October 9, former Ghanaian international Appiah, Fatau Dauda, and Ignatius Osei-Fosu all departed the nation.

Former Ghanaian international Dauda will serve as the trainer for the goalkeeping department, and Osei-Fosu will serve as an assistant coach.
