GPL Wk18: Kotoko leave it late as they beat Dreams to extend lead

Kumasi Asante Kotoko beat Dreams FC 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in a Match day 18 game of the Ghana Premier League.

The game which was a fiercely contested one saw Dreams start as the better of the two sides and they had several chances but missed them.

The first half ended barren but the second saw a spirited Kotoko side.

Mbella went round the Dreams FC goalkeeper but was brought down in the box which resulted in a penalty.

Mbella stepped up and calmly scored to make it 1-0 to Kotoko.

In the dying embers of the game he scored Kotoko’s second as he reacted quickly to pounce on a loose ball that had come off the cross bar.

The game ended in favour of Kotoko and they have now extended their lead at the top of the GPL .
