Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko will travel to Washington DC to take on Major League Soccer side D.C. United in the Capital City Africa Cup during the celebration of Ghana Week.
The Capital City Africa Cup, an initiative of the Ghana Embassy in the capital of the United States in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority, began in 2023 when former champions of Ghana, Medeama SC, faced D.C. United.
Ghana Week in DC aims at promoting the culture of the country, attracting potential investors, and celebrating Africa’s diversity, will start from October 7 to 12.
This will serve as an opportunity for the Ghanaian club to widen its net for potential partners.
The match will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Audi Field in Washington DC.
