Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil like Inaki Williams for Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, was in fine form on Sunday afternoon as he scored a brace to help KRC Genk to beat Majeed Ashimeru’s RSC Anderlecht 5-2 in the Belgium Pro League.
Tanzanian striker Mbwana Samatta broke the deadlock in the 36th minute to give KRC Genk the lead.
Islam Slimania made it 1-1 for Anderlecht seven minutes later before a strike from Outtara Mohammed handed KRC Genk a 2-1 lead.
Joseph Paintsil got his name on the scoresheet to increase the lead for his team soon after recess. He got his brace in the 87th minute before El Khannous also scored four minutes later to give the home side a 5-2 win at full-time.
