Paris Saint-Germain was humiliated in a 4-1 victory for the Magpies on Wednesday, giving Newcastle a dream return to the Champions League at St. James’ Park.

Goals from Miguel Almiron, Dan Burn, Sean Longstaff, and Fabian Schar helped Newcastle win their first home game in Europe’s premier league in 20 years.

Wednesday’s Champions League match between Manchester City and RB Leipzig ended in a 3-1 victory for Manchester City thanks to goals from substitutes Julian Alvarez and Jeremy Doku.

City took control right on, with Phil Foden scoring following some superb wingback play by Rico Lewis. Leipzig responded right away after the break, however, thanks to Lois Openda.

The match between AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund ended in a second consecutive scoreless draw, dropping AC Milan to third place in Group F.
In Xavi Hernandez’s 100th game as coach, Ferran Torres’ goal gave Barcelona a difficult 1-0 victory at Porto in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Pedro’s goal in the dying seconds of Wednesday’s match in Glasgow gave Lazio a 2-1 victory against Celtic to start their Champions League campaign.

Kyogo Furuhashi, a striker from Japan, scored Celtic’s opening goal in the Champions League.

Osman Bukari is making his impact in the Champions League after helping Red Star Belgrade draw 2-2 with Young Boys on Wednesday by setting up one goal and scoring a late equalizer.
