Simon Bimone has imprinted herself in the annals of Olympic history as one of the greatest Olympians of all time, as she led Team USA to gold at the women’s artistic gymnastics final on Tuesday, July 30.

Team USA toppled Italy and Brazil in the standings with 171.296 points to win after last achieving this feat in Rio 2016.

“We got the job done,” the ever-smiling Biles said after the dominant victory, as the Italians and Brazilians won silver and bronze, respectively.

The 27-year-old declared the win “redemption” for the team, including Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and Suni Lee, who disappointingly finished second in Tokyo 2020.

Joined by newcomer Hezly Rivera, this is the USA’s fourth title in the women’s artistic gymnastics event.
