The Black Stars will perform better against Nicaragua in their forthcoming friendly encounter, according to head coach Otto Addo.
His comments came following Brazil’s 3-0 victory over the West African country on Friday night at the Le Harve in France, prolonging their dominance over that country.
Brazil demonstrated their World Cup readiness by putting up an attacking masterclass in a 3-0 victory against Ghana in Friday’s friendly in Le Havre. Richarlison scored twice.
Marquinhos’ corner header gave Brazil the advantage, and Richarlison widened it just before the half-hour mark. The Tottenham Hotspur striker added a third goal just before halftime.
However, the Black Stars did perform better in the second half, and the manager of Borussia Dortmund has forecast a better performance in Tuesday’s game against Nicaragua in Spain.
Nevertheless, he is convinced that the team will improve despite admitting that he made mistakes in player selection.
“I think I made mistakes,” he said after the game.
“I learned a lot more about my players and picking the next starting XI will depend on the performance in this game,” he added.
Mohammed Salisu, Tariq Lamptey, and Inaki Williams nevertheless made their respective professional debuts.
With these matches, Ghana is getting ready for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar later this year.
