Ghana’s rap doctor, Okyeame Kwame, has revealed the motive for settling on Kofi Kinaata for his new song titled “Sika.”
According to him, he has always wanted to do a song with Kofi Kinaata and did not hesitate when he had the chance.
Okyeame Kwame disclosed that he was a big fan of Kofi Kinaata and respected his creative sense, thus wanting to have a record together with him.
He noted that he was the only artiste who had won the Songwriter of the Year twice until Kofi Kinaata changed the narrative by winning it on three occasions.
For this reason, Okyeame Kwame said he was itching to feature him to learn the secret of his lyrical composition.
“I wanted to know what was in that head, and I called him for us to do a song together, and during the recording sessions, I realized why he is a great writer: ‘the boy gets common sense, period’. He is very intelligent, very smart; he has learned the trick and the trade,” he said.
Touching on the concept of the new track, the rapper said “Sika” aims to inspire people to hustle to make ends meet.
“It is who I have become currently; most of the things I do are to seek to bring out difficult times and triumphant moments, from poverty to riches,” he said.
The song, Okyeame Kwame said, is available on all digital platforms and urged fans to stream it.
