British actress Emily Olivia Laura Blunt has received criticism from netizens over her choice of clothing at the Oscars award ceremony, which took place in Los Angeles.

The 41-year-old actress was among those present at the awards ceremony on Sunday. She received a nomination for her role in the movie Oppenheimer (2023). She was accompanied by her spouse, John Krasinski, to the event.

She walked the Dolby Theatre red carpet wearing an off-white Schiaparelli dress. She accessorized the shimmering gown with Tiffany & Co. jewels, which included “floating” shoulder straps and an undergarment-like decoration on the front.

Particular attention has been drawn to the sequined ensemble’s over-the-shoulder straps and ornamentation. It’s proven to be contentious; some have criticized the style, while others have praised Emily’s appearance.
