Just hours after arriving in Ivory Coast to continue their preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) competition, the Black Stars resumed training there on Wednesday night.
The 27-player squad, along with coach Chris Hughton and his technical staff, arrived in Abidjan by Air Cote d’Ivoire, the tournament’s official airline partner, in stunning kente cloths.
The Black Stars’ first Group B encounter is scheduled for Sunday, January 14, against Cape Verde. Training for the team will resume on Thursday and continue through Saturday.
