A young and talented Victor Osimhen moved from the Ultimate Strikers Academy in Nigeria to German outfit VFL Wolfsburg in 2017 where he made 14 appearances within the two years he spent there but failed to score a single goal.

The Germans shipped him to Charleroi on loan while finding his feet in the European terrain. French giants Lille noticed his impressive form at Charleroi where he managed 12 goals in 25 appearances, and quickly snapped him up.
The tall Nigerian striker joined Italian Serie A club, Napoli in 2020 for a deal worth 70 million Euros from French outfit, Lille. The former Nigerian U17 player scored 13 goals in the 27 matches he played for Lille.
In his childhood days in Lagos, the superstar striker roamed in streets selling sachet water while his brother, Andrew, sold newspapers, and his sister, Esther, sold sweet oranges to make ends meet.
“It feels good, just started like a dream, a boyhood dream from the slums and to be able to achieve this feat is one of my biggest achievements in my career,” said Osimhen.
Today, Victor Osimhen has done the unimaginable, leading Napoli to its first title since the late Argentine legend, Diego Armando Maradona captained the Napolitans to become league champions in 1990.
