MAX GPL: Accra Great Olympics Begins Pre-Season Training

By Michael Mensah Martey

Accra Great Olympics have begun preparations for the upcoming 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season led by Annor Walker, the veteran trainer, who has returned to the club after his departure from FC Samartex, where he achieved a respectable 10th-place finish in their debut campaign.

Olympics endured a turbulent 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season, starting with Yaw Preko as head coach, but due to a poor run of results, he was sacked midway through the season. Bismark Kobby-Mensah took over as head coach and successfully helped the team maintain their Premier League status.

With Annor Walker back at the helm, the club will be aiming to improve their performance and contend for the Premier League title in the upcoming season.

The anticipation is high as the fans await the release of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League fixtures, which is expected to happen this month. The new season is set to kick off in September later this year, promising exciting and competitive football action.
