Kumasi King Faisal secured a morale-boosting 3-1 win at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex over Legon Cities.
Alhaji Grusah’s boys gave themselves a survival chance ahead of this season’s final round of fixtures. Abdul Latif scored in the 23rd minute to give King Faisal a first-half lead.
Latif doubled his and King Faisal’s tally in the 68th minute before Ebenezer Amegah halved the deficit in the 76th minute but the Inshallah boys showed their determination to survive when Baba Yahaya quickly restored their two-goal lead three minutes later.
Ignatius Fosu Osei’s team is 17th on the league standings with 39 points while Legon Cities is 11th with 43 points.
