Berekum Chelsea defeated Bibiani Gold Stars 2-0 on Sunday to get off to the best possible start in the 2023–24 season at the Golden City Park.
Stephen Amankona’s two second half goals allowed Ennin’s boys to defeat Gold Stars with ease since neither team was able to score in the first half.
Amankona converted a penalty kick given to Chelsea to give Berekum Chelsea the lead in the 74th minute.
Berekum Chelsea sealed their win on opening fixture when Amankona doubled his tally in stoppage time.
