Moussa Djenepo has caught the attention of his Southampton teammates with his stylish West African attire. Djenepo wasted no time and joined his teammates for pre-season preparations as they aim for a quick return to the English Premier League.
During their preparations, the team met their new coach, Russel Martin, who likely introduced them to various drills and focused on improving their fitness levels.
In a photo shared on social media, Djenepo was seen walking confidently to training wearing a yellow three-piece kaftan, known as an Abada in Africa.
Given that he is a Muslim, it’s possible that he had just arrived from the Eid-ul-Adha prayers and was dressed for the occasion. It’s wonderful to see players embracing their religious practices alongside their sporting commitments.
As part of their pre-season preparations, Southampton will be engaging in friendlies against Reading FC and AFC Bournemouth before the start of the 2023/24 season.
