Mohamed Salah, a forward for Liverpool and Egypt, has urged “world leaders to come together to prevent further slaughter of innocent souls” in the midst of the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict.
Health officials reported that an explosion at a busy hospital in Gaza City on Tuesday night killed hundreds of patients.
Salah, 31, stated that humanitarian help must be permitted “immediately” in Gaza.
“There has been too much violence, heartbreak and brutality,” he said.
According to Palestinian officials, an Israeli air strike caused the explosion at Al-Ahli Arab Hospital.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad, however, denies the Israeli military’s claim that it was the consequence of a misfired missile launch.
After Hamas launched an unprecedented onslaught on Israel on October 7 that resulted in 1,400 fatalities, Israel responded by attacking Gaza with artillery and jets.
