Renowned highlife musician Akwaboah has charged the media to use their advertising space to teach the youth viable things that will challenge them to be profitable in life.
He said the era demanded that the black race fine-tune their minds from sexual and other unwholesome habits.
In a recent live Instagram video, Akwaboah expressed his disappointment in the media for bombarding viewers with advertisements for enlargement creams and aphrodisiacs, which were intended to boost male performance in bed.
“Does this mean that, as for the black race, we don’t have productive things to talk about and that all we know and talk about is sex?” he quizzed.
The “Obiaa” hitmaker, who said watching television stations was now detrimental to the well-being of youth due to the advertisement of drugs and other male sexual enhancers, underscored an urgent need for the media to change the narrative.
“When are we going to teach people to be financially viable or teach them about God? I think it’s about time we changed the narrative. Sex shouldn’t be all that we think about,” he said.
