Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has defied online trolls who are targeting his fellow musician Stonebwoy for being omitted from the 66th Grammy Awards nomination list.
Acknowledged for his previous confrontations with Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale asked fans to stop the trolling and instead give Stonebwoy their support.
He reminded everyone that he does not enjoy the sufferings of others and advised them to refrain from holding grudges and unfavorable thoughts.
Shatta Wale shared his knowledge and stressed the need to celebrate if Stonebwoy were to receive a Grammy Award, emphasizing its benefits for Ghana.
In a TikTok Live show, the reggae/dancehall musician urged everyone to pay attention, particularly his supporters, the Shatta Movement (SM). He called Stonebwoy’s mockery “stupid” and suggested that people focus on promoting his new single, Incoming, which features Tekno.
“Anybody who has posted or is mocking Stonebwoy by saying that he wasn’t nominated for Grammys should delete it as soon as possible. It is a stupid thing to do. Total nonsense! There are songs we need to promote, and this is the focus. Forget everything else. Everyone should delete that nonsense bulls*** thing.
To determine who wins the Grammy Awards, members of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences cast their votes for the greatest albums, composers, and performers of the eligible year each year.
Numerous Ghanaian musicians, including Stonebwoy, Rocky Dawuni, Amaarae, MOG Music, and Juls, submitted songs to be considered for Grammy Awards.
However, none of the musicians from Ghana made it onto the final list of nominees for the 2024 Grammy Awards, compared to their colleagues from Nigeria.
