Media personality Berla Mundi has appealed to older men, popularly known as sugar daddies, to desist from competing with young guys over their girlfriends.
She termed it “unfair” for those well-established men to be snatching the girlfriends of the young men who are now working hard to build their lives.
Sharing her sentiments, Berla said it was not only unfair but also placed an unreasonable burden on young men trying to establish meaningful relationships with their partners.
She stated that since the young guys could not afford expensive gifts and financial support for their girlfriends, those sugar daddies took advantage of that to offer the young ladies their financial needs and expensive gifts to lure them.
“There is a burden on young men. As a young man, you are competing with a 60-year-old man who can probably afford all the things a girl your age would like. Meanwhile, you are hoping that you and that girl can build a life together.
Unfortunately, the girl is also aiming higher and expecting an iPhone 15 when you don’t even have an iPhone 12 yourself,” Berla lamented.
She noted that the practice by those sugar daddies has swayed the attention of ladies away from young guys, undermining the foundation of relationships, which are expected to be built on shared values and mutual growth.
