This year’s highly anticipated Afro Nation Nigeria Festival, which is slated for Tuesday, December 19, and Wednesday, December 20, at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, will feature Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif as its headlining act.

Black Sherif will perform for the first time in Nigeria, the legendary birthplace of Afrobeat, according to a recent roster for the third edition of the Afrobeats festival.

The singer of “Second Sermons” would perform on stage among other renowned African musicians including Burna Boy, J Hus, Flavour, and Seyi Vibes.

The event, according to the organizers would be an unforgettable experience for musicians and patrons.

“Hosting Afro Nation in Lagos and at the historically significant Tafawa Balewa Square is a powerful affirmation and celebration of Nigeria’s pivotal role in shaping the international music landscape of today.”

“Afro Nation Nigeria 2023 will connect the past to the future, offering an unmissable experience that pays homage to the artists, pioneers, and the dynamic cultural spirit of Nigeria,” the organizers said.

After two successful editions in Ghana, the event will now be held for the first time in Nigeria this year.
