Kylian Mbappe brace moves PSG closer to Ligue 1 title

France star Kylian Mbappe’s double earned PSG a 2-1 victory at bottom side Angers on Friday.

The former World Cup winner’s goals extended the French champions’ lead to 11 points before Olympique Lyonnais will welcome second-placed Olympique de Marseille on Sunday.

Salis Abdul Samed’s RC Lens are third and one point further adrift. The Black Stars midfielder will miss his side’s home game against fourth-placed Monaco on Saturday due to suspension.

PSG began the game on the front foot as expected with a quick goal from Kylian Mbappe in the 9th minute after good work by Lionel Messi and Juan Bernat.

The lead was doubled 17 minutes later after a swift counterattack. Messi played a perfect pass to Mbappe who took the ball around the keeper before passing it into an empty net.
