Ugandan international Steven Desse Mukwala has penned a three-year contract with Tanzanian powerhouse Simba SC.
The 24-year-old striker joined Simba on a free transfer following the conclusion of his contract with Asante Kotoko SC.
Mukwala, who made his mark with Kotoko during the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, where he netted 14 goals including a memorable brace against rivals Hearts of Oak, has swiftly become a key addition for Simba.
Simba SC aims to capitalize on Mukwala’s prolific scoring prowess to bolster their ambitions both domestically and in continental competitions.
“Addressing our attack was a priority following last season, and Mukwala’s arrival, alongside Fredy Michael, significantly strengthens our squad,” the club announced on their official website.
Mukwala, reflecting on his move, shared images from the signing event on social media with the caption: “It’s a new challenge, and I’m ready for the task ahead. Proud to join the pride in the City.”
Prior to his stint with Kotoko, Mukwala featured for Uganda’s Vipers FC and Maroons FC, showcasing his talent before making a move to Ghana.
