The England team’s matches against Australia and Italy will be without Arsenal striker Bukayo Saka due to injury.
A hamstring issue kept Saka out of his team’s 1-0 Premier League victory over Manchester City on Sunday.
After being examined by England’s medical staff, the FA said that he had withdrew and would not be replaced in the squad, which currently consists of 25 players.
On October 13, England plays Australia; four days later, they play Italy in a European Championship qualifying match.
After the game on Sunday, Gunners’ Arteta remarked, “No, he won’t make it. “He has not trained for a single session.”
He would not say how long Saka would likely be sidelined, but Arteta did add: “He is not available to play football at the moment.”
