Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has disclosed that he started his Shaxi business to create career opportunities for the unemployed youth as a means to help alleviate poverty bedevilling the country.
He said that instead of indulging in personal luxury with over $2 million, which he invested in the ride-hailing business, he chose to establish the business to see others succeed.
Shatta Wale disclosed this in a live session with his followers on social media.
“That is why I want to make extra money and support myself; otherwise, why should I establish a business? That over $2 million that I used to open my Shaxi business, by now I should be enjoying that money.
“I could have bought a Rolls Royce, Lamborghini,” Shatta Wale said.
Shatta Wale noted that the significant investment covered various aspects of the business, including app development, the purchase of multiple mini cars, and overall promotion.
Shatta said that, despite his persona, he was a loving person who deserved to be treated with love and kindness.
