Accra Hearts of Oak’s squad for the upcoming season is evolving as the Phobia Club both welcomes new signings and bids farewell to departing players.
Following recent additions of goalkeeper Benjamin Asare from Accra Great Olympics and Michael Awuah, the club has announced the departure of midfielders Salifu Ibrahim and Glid Otanga.
Salifu Ibrahim, who shone during the 2020-2021 Ghana Premier League season and earned the League’s Best Player Award, has joined Drita. He scored two goals and provided 10 assists in 32 appearances last season.
Congolese midfielder Glid Otanga has signed with Qatar’s Al Kharaitiyat SC after two years with Hearts. Otanga, who moved from Cameroon’s Coton Sport, made 53 appearances and recorded two assists.
Hearts of Oak will kick off the 2024-2025 season against newly promoted Basake Holy Stars between September 6 and September 9.
