Hearts of Oak bag crucial win over Nations FC

Aboubakar Ouattara and Hearts of Oak can breathe a sigh of relief thanks to a crucial 2-0 victory of Nations FC at the Accra Sports Stadium Friday night.

They never said die! The Phobians kicked off the game on the front foot and got the first goal through Kassim Cisse in the seventh minute.

Hamza Issah doubled his side’s lead with a clever goal after he turned in Sadiq Alhassan to smash the ball past Japheth Norvienyo in goal seven minutes later.

Nations FC returned from the first half pushing to claw themselves back into the game, but Ouattara’s men remained resolute to claim a much-needed victory in their battle for survival.

Hearts of Oak move up to 11th on the Ghana Premier League standings as they await results from the remaining games on Saturday and Sunday.
