The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has signed a one-year sponsorship deal with Akoa Beverages, producers of Aqua Blue Natural Mineral Water to become the official water partner of the association.
Under the terms of this agreement, which is subject to potential renewal, Akoa Beverages, a wholly Ghanaian-owned company, will oversee all of the GFA’s water requirements.
This encompasses supplying hydration for the association’s staff at its headquarters in Accra, the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, and the 13 national football teams, including the illustrious Black Stars.
Additionally, the company is set to contribute an undisclosed cash component to the GFA as part of the arrangement.
Speaking at the announcement of the partnership in Accra, Shadrack Akoenyenu, CEO of Akoa Beverages, emphasized that the collaboration exemplified their commitment to promoting unity in Ghana through the medium of football.
