Hon. E.T. Mensah, a former Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, is said to have passed away on Sunday night in South Africa following a lengthy illness.
Enoch Teye Mensah, who was born on May 17, 1946, served as the Rawlings administration’s minister of Youth and Sports, and served in parliament for 20 years, from January 1997 to January 2017.
He was the Accra Metropolitan Assembly’s (AMA) Chief Executive during the PNDC administration.
He entered Parliament on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) platform on January 7, 1997, representing the residents of Ningo-Prampram. He held the seat until January 6, 2017.
He was married and had seven children.
