Godwin Abusah scored in the 88th minute to negate Kwame Aboagye’s strike in the 21st minute of a closely contested match at Kyebi, giving Young Apostles what appeared to be a narrow victory.
The two teams put on a fun encounter with some outstanding individual play.
After snaking into Samartex’s half, Sunyani-based Young Apostles took the lead with a goal from Aboagye in the first half.
Apostles maintained control of the game until they gave up a late penalty that Abusah expertly converted with just two minutes left.
In the second game of the day, Tema Youth SC and Tamale City FC played to a scoreless draw.
