According to former Black Stars goaltender Fatau Dauda, Christian Atsu is sleeping in the arms of the Almighty God in paradise.
Christian Atsu, 31, was found dead in Turkey on Saturday morning after 12 days buried under the rubble following the horrific earthquake on February 6.
The beloved Black Stars winger’s mortal remains landed in Ghana from Turkey on Sunday night.
In the midst of the continuous grief for the athlete, Fatau Dauda, a Black Stars teammate of Christian Atsu, made a prayer request on social media.
He claims that the departed winger may be dozing off in paradise.
“I believe you are resting in HEAVEN Chris, Rest Well,” Fatau Dauda said in a post on Instagram.
Christian Atsu’s lifeless remains were transferred from Turkey to Ghana on February 19th, a Sunday.
The administration has now vowed to ensure that the deceased national team player receives a dignified funeral.
