Brighton has extended Evan Ferguson’s contract till 2029 in order to secure the young forward’s future.
In 43 senior outings, Ferguson, 19, has netted 15 goals, including his first hat-trick against Newcastle in September.
When the Republic of Ireland striker scored against Arsenal in December at the age of 18 years and 73 days, he became his club’s youngest-ever Premier League scorer.
Ferguson, who was named Brighton’s 2022–2023 young player of the year, had already committed to the team in April, signing a deal that would have kept him there until 2028.
Kaoru Mitoma, a teammate, also inked a new contract last month that will keep him with the team until 2027.
