Don Emilio and Joaquin have a battle of words over whether or not to resume their operations – Emilio offers to handle the operations while his grandson takes care of the protection. Joaquin however insists on handling both which only gets a mocking laugh from Emilio.
Recalling his father’s order, Joaquin eyes his grandpa and vows to make the scumbag who had put his father’s life in danger pay. General Jacob and Tejada consider cutting ties with the Tuazons should things get any worse. They then begin discussing about Cardo and Tejada makes it clear that he doesn’t ever want to run into the hero cop.
Mr. Vergel has a verbal sparring on phone and as he expresses his outrage at a business partner, Janice his daughter comes over with her friends to greet him. The guy barely pays any attention and Janice heads out with the other girls. Lorraine soon begins discussing with her about their broken families. As they get into the car and set off, Tejada’s goons begin to tail them.
Cardo apologizes to his grandma for falling short in balancing his work and his family. He then promises to make it up to them. Meanwhile, Joaquin has a one-way talk with his mother who is busy sleeping. He mentions his father’s suspicion about Don Emilio having betrayed him to be true, adding that his loyalty will always be with his father. Andrea overhears everything and goes on to inform Don Emilio. Refusing to see his grandson as an enemy, Don Emilio considers getting rid of Tomas before he fully brainwashes Joaquin to go against him.
The Guzmans and Cardo visit Carmen’s grave. Cardo is confident that they’ll eventually find evidence against Tomas for murdering Carmen. During a basketball game in prison, a riot breaks out. Meanwhile, Junior, Nora and Billy reminisce about some moments they had with Carmen.
“I still blame myself for what happened to you,” Billy says in introspection. “If I only knew, I wouldn’t have let you marry Joaquin. I would have kept you away from harm. But now, I’ll make it up to you. Justice will definitely be served.”
And then comes Cardo. “I will never stop looking for evidence. I won’t stop until you get the justice that you deserve. I’m doing this for Junior too. So when he grows up, he won’t think that his mother’s death meant nothing. I promise you that.”
At the de Leons, Onyok, Benny and Makmak display their Halloween costumes, showing off some ridiculous dance moves. Together with Flora, they talk Cardo into changing into a scary costume of his own. The kids drag him inside and after a moment, Makmak merely says, “Presenting…. Cardo the monster!!”
Lorraine & Janice are kidnapped
Cardo comes out looking like a ridiculous teenage zombie. They soon go out trick-or-treating, acting the part like zombies.
While they’re filling in their bags with some candy, Onyok asks that they go over to the big house next so he could see some ghosts. Cardo however asks him to stay put. Onyok being Onyok, he slips away into the house to ask a ghost for some candy. Cardo and the others soon notice him missing.
Onyok receives the shock of his life as Gorio and Damian the old wizard catches him. Branding him as a thief, they drag him out and rant some more as Cardo comes upon the scene with the others. Back home, Elmo is still suffering from his unforgiving rashes. Meanwhile, Mitch asks Lorraine to be careful around her newfound friends, mentioning that they’re into party drugs. Lorraine however refuses to believe her.
Damian plans on breaking the hands of the owner of a pen in his custody who had offended him. Gorio asks that they reverse the hexes he had put on everyone since people in the neighborhood aren’t as mean and nasty as those from his province. Damian takes offense. “They’re practically the same. They’re all dirt bags!”
While Cardo discusses the strange old man at the abandoned house with Flora, Yolly calls to announce that her husband’s condition is getting worse. Tomas puts in a call from prison, rambling some crap in hopes of getting a reaction out of Verna. Doesn’t go according to plan though. Cardo visits his brother’s grave. He recalls some memories, promising to take care of their family. Meanwhile, Joaquin takes Verna to Rachel’s grave in the company of Don Emilio. Verna recalls some memories and the incidents that lead to her daughter’s death.
Tomas does same in his 5-star prison room.
Delfin finds Cardo staring at a portrait of Pablo. “I know your father’s proud of you,” he begins. “You and Ador. What’s heartbreaking is that until now, he still hasn’t received justice. Him and Carmen. So much time has passed. He might never get the justice he deserves. But I still want to believe that new evidence will surface very soon. That someone will appear to identify who killed him.”
At the Arevalos, Teddy mumbles some lame-ass excuse of an apology to the late Pablo, still hell-bent on keeping his mouth shut for the safety of his family. JP is dropped off by Alyana at the Halloween party and he eagerly goes to get together with Lorraine. Tejada’s goons who are in masks arrive and proceed inside. Meanwhile, Lorraine receives a call from Mitch but ignores it. She informs JP about Mitch’s accusation, refusing to believe that Janice and her friends are into drugs.
Janice buys some drugs from someone and as the party goes on, the disguised goons blend in. A moment later, Lorraine begins to notice something off. Just then, Janice shows up to offer her the drugs. JP takes her out where she soon receives a phone call from her uncle. She answers on the second ring, assuring Jerome that she’d have her friend take her home.
“Why didn’t you report what we just saw?” JP asks after the phone call.
Janice storms over with her lackeys and tries to make Lorraine stay. However, one of them suddenly begins to throw up and JP slips away with Lorraine, who asks that they just take a cab and get out of the place. JP insists on calling Alyana to pick them up. Janice comes running over to throw another fit but the goons capture her.
Lorraine tries helping and gets taken as well. And JP? He tries saving Lorraine and gets a blow and a punch as reward. He then calls his sister to inform her of Lorraine’s abduction. Alyana places a desperate phone call to Cardo. Meanwhile, Janice and Lorraine are confined in a room somewhere.
