The episode begins with the traitorous snake Catindig spotting Diana at the parking lot as his phone rings. A momentary hesitation from the General gives Catindig the chance to slip away and turn off his cellphone. Sensing that someone is nearby, Diana makes a futile attempt to catch the perpetrator. She hurries back to her office where she runs into Catindig. At the rebel camp, Fernan (Cardo) hangs out with Homer’s group and they commend his exceptional fighting skills. They then make deliberate efforts to persuade him to stick with their group.
General Oligario studies the sketchy photo of the person she had pursued from Sandro Tomiby’s place before, confident that the culprit is definitely Catindig. She begins to wonder about his motives as well as his accomplices. Diana calls the security office for the CCTV footage of the parking lot for the last 24 hours. Unfortunately, though anticipated, Catindig gets to the operator first to ask for a little favour. I bet you know how that goes down. A moment later, Diana arrives at the security office to review the CCTV footage that’s now been cursed with a worthless angle.
Romulo has a talk with his daughter about her son’s undeniable attachment to Fernan. He suggests that he give a chance to someone who’s always loved her (Anton) but Lena points out that she doesn’t feel the same way about him. Anton confronts Homer over how he and Fernan seem to be becoming fast friends. Fernan (Cardo) and his allies spy as a war of words ensue. Like a pathetic insecure girlfriend, Anton demands that Homer make a choice between him and our favourite hero.
“It looks like they’re really taking the bait,” Earthworm whispers to Cardo. “They’re quarrelling now.”
Cardo smirks with absolute satisfaction.
Taking the counsel of a comrade into consideration, Romulo decides to give Anton another chance to prove himself – by giving him the task of collecting some donations in town and using it to buy food and medicine for the group. Meanwhile, Diana recounts to Delfin how the particular contact he had called from Sandro’s phone had rang inside the NMIG building’s parking lot, adding that the person had gotten away and she hadn’t been able to get anything from the CCTV footage of the scene.
“You suspect that it’s Manolo Catindig?” Delfin offers.
“I can’t think of anyone else but him,” Diana states.
“But we don’t have any solid proof to incriminate him.”
“Call it a hunch but…I have a strong feeling that Catindig is the person I’ve been looking for.”
The traitorous snake Catindig can’t seem to figure out how his boss had found his private number. At the NDA, the despicable director Hipolito puts on an act in front of the press regarding the recent bombings in the city. The slimy scoundrel spouts some nonsense about restoring order to the nation and ensuring everyone’s safety, all the while, deliberately trivializing his intention of running as senator in the elections. General Oligario watches the show and begins to wonder whether the scumbag has a hand in everything.
Diana has nothing better to do than to have dinner with Hipolito, whom some ignorant civilians profess their intention of voting for in the election. At the rebel camp, Homer takes Fernan (Cardo) to his secret camp and introduces him to everyone as their newest member. He then charges him to keep everything a secret lest they do to him what they had done to the SAF trooper (Quinto). Meanwhile, Catindig meets up with the security guard from the NMIG. After paying him off and ensuring that he has nothing that could incriminate him, the traitorous snake executes him and has his men clean up the mess.
Homer welcomes Fernan (Cardo) to Venom
Alyana finally seems to be coming to her senses at the Arevalo residence where she soon reunites with her mom. At the secret camp, Homer charges Fernan (Cardo) to prove his loyalty to their group by sneaking up on Anton’s group and plundering them of their food and medicine and bring them right back. As grandma Flora helps the kids with their homework, Alyana returns home to a warm reception from everyone. At the rebel camp, Romulo asks of Fernan and Homer covers for him.
Cardo proceeds with a heavy heart to carry out Homer’s wishes. He effortlessly outmatches and chases off Anton’s group and manages to retrieve the goods. In no time, he returns to the secret camp with the spoils and he’s officially welcomed into Venom. Director Hipolito discovers what Catindig has been up to and resorts to chastising him for acting on his own again and disposing off another body without his knowledge. Meanwhile, Diana discusses the CIDG’s recent failed operation with Delfin on phone, confused as to why all the rebels had been killed when there had been a supposed direct order that they had to be captured alive.
“Why were they all wiped out? Unless…”
“Unless what?” Delfin says.
“Unless some of those cops received a different directive and executed it,” Diana concludes.
“Someone else gave out a different order, General?”
“Yes, and we need to find out who really gave out those orders. And why.”
Director Hipolito gives Catindig an earful, barking and ranting over how he’s screwed up again. The traitorous snake suffers the verbal abuse silently, all the while silently plotting to gather evidence to expose him someday before he gets rid of him. At the rebel camp, Anton returns to tell the commander a quiet pathetic story of how they had allegedly been ambushed by the cops and soldiers and had been compelled to leave the food and medicine behind.
Billy and his men go over the number of forces that had been involved in the shootout with the rebels. Billy brings up the strange fact, that is, how they had suddenly had more men with them when they had encountered Bloody Sun. Chikoy and Vargas come to the conclusion that there were men who weren’t part of their command. A moment later, they discuss the matter with Delfin and Billy hands him some photos of the suspects, and they begin debating on whether the men had really been cops from different units.
“Despite my strict orders to capture the rebels alive that night, why were there no survivors?”
“Sir, they clearly infiltrated our ranks,” Billy declares.
General Borja tells Oligario of the frauds and fake cops who had joined the CIDG’s operation. He asks if they should disclose the information at the upcoming meeting at the NDA and Diana mentions that she has no idea of who’s trustworthy anymore. A moment later, Hipolito asks for updates on the investigations in the recent events as Catindig joins them. The despicable director implies that they teach the ‘rogue cops’ a lesson for not sticking to official orders. Catindig plays devil’s advocate, saying that the cops probably had acted in self-defense.
“That is no excuse,” Hipolito states.
“None of the cops we interrogated admitted to firing first,” Diana mentions.
“We can bring them in for another round of questioning,” Delfin chimes in.
Hipolito begins bitching.
General Oligario sighs. “As I mentioned earlier, our team have obtained a new lead.”
“What is it?”
Diana reveals that they’ve tracked down and spoken to the families of the deceased rebels, adding that they’re getting information from them about Bloody Sun. She then exchanges a meaningful glance with Delfin. Meanwhile, Homer commends Fernan (Cardo) on a job well done by proving himself capable of taking on Leon and Father. Our favourite hero indulges Homer as he welcomes him to Venom again, just as Anton laments over the chance he had lost to regain the commander’s favor.
“What did I tell you before, Homer?” Cardo says. “You guys can trust me. And I guarantee you that you have my complete loyalty.”
