The £105 million midfielder was one of many second half substitutions as Arteta gave his entire squad a chance to play.
Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard’s first-half wonder goals made it incredibly simple, and Jorginho’s penalty early in the second half sealed the outcome. Rice came on to rapturous applause from his new fans, while fellow substitutes Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz added more home misery.
