The Black Stars of Ghana trained held their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament qualifier match against Madagascar on Sunday, June 18.
The team began camping at the Alisa Hotel on Monday after the 25 invited players excluding Arsenal player Thomas Partey who arrived later in the day while Gideon Mensah couldn’t train even though he reported for camp.
Bechem United’s Hafiz Konkoni, who is also a trained teacher, reportedly trained separately from the squad and is expected to participate in the team’s training session today.
