In the event that the Giallorossi drop their match against Cagliari on Sunday, Roma owner Dan Friedkin is ready to sack José Mourinho and bring in Hans-Dieter Flick, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

After a 4-1 defeat to Genoa on September 28, the Italian newspaper claimed that Friedkin had already made up his mind to part ways with Mourinho.

However, director Tiago Pinto persuaded the President to change his mind and stay with Mourinho.

Friedkin has already contacted Mourinho’s replacement, former Germany and Bayern Munich manager Flick, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Roma has won two of its first two games in the Europa League, but the team is off to a poor start in Serie A with only two victories in its first seven league games.
