Renowned lawyer and historian Yaw Anokye wildly claimed the late highlife legend Nana Kwame Ampadu as the world’s most famous musician.
According to Yaw Anokye, Nana Ampadu was an exceptional, multi-talented musician who could play the guitar and could still sing.
“The whites do not want to agree that Nana Ampadu is the number one famous musician, but they ranked him in the second position,” he said on the Max Morning Show.
Nana Kwame Ampadu was born on March 31, 1945, and on September 28, 2021. He was a Ghanaian musician and composer credited with numerous popular tracks, and he is known to have composed over 800 songs.
He was also known as Adwomtofo Nyinaa. Hene Ampadu was the lead singer, chief songwriter, and founder of the “African Brothers Band.” He is regarded as a pioneer of high-life music and one of the most illustrious Ghanaian musicians of the 20th century.
Ampadu composed many songs, like Oman Ba Adwo, Anibere Nye, Obi Benya Wo, Kofi Nkrabea, and many others.
