English Premier League side Burnley has started negotiations to sign Ghanaian international Joseph Paintsil from KRC Genk of Belgium before the summer transfer window closes.
A number of elite clubs in Europe are showing interest in Painstil as a result of his daring displays in both the previous and current seasons.
The Black Stars winger was reportedly close to moving to Southampton and Leeds United, but the deal fell through due to inability to come to terms.
According to reports, Burnley and Genk have begun speaking about a potential transfer during this window.
Paintsil had a great season in the Belgian Pro League last year, scoring 15 goals and dishing up 15 assists as Genk just missed winning the league.
