MAX HEALTH: Know these about contraceptives

Emergency contraception is a safe way to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex. There are a few types of emergency contraception, and some work better than others. No matter what kind of emergency contraception you use, take it as soon as possible after unprotected sex.

But are you aware they come with side effects? You probably take it in every month, and you never read the small, folded paper in the Lydia contraceptive box.

Lydia contraceptive pill is widely used as the go-to solution whenever one is looking for an emergency contraceptive. This emergency pill (e-Pill) or the morning-after pill is commonly used by women as a precautionary method against unwanted pregnancies in the possible event of unprotected sex.

The Lydia post pill is not used as a daily contraceptive pill and should be used once in a while, as it might pose a challenge if used regularly.

The effects of taking Lydia postpill can be quite similar to most of the contraceptives that are used. Below are some of the ones that we have been able to get from this very contraceptive.

1. The most common effects one is likely to experience are throbbing and being slightly dizzy. It is advised that you stay in a well-ventilated place, mostly in a comfortable place, once you take these drugs.

2. Lydia’s contraceptive pill can also cause breast tenderness in some users, though this is not the most common one.

3. This pill can also bring about a change in your menstrual flow, whereby the flow can be heavy or much lighter than it was before and sometimes cause spotting too, while causing a delay in your menses as well.

4. Nausea and vomiting are among the most common effects that are likely to be experienced when using Lydia contraceptive pills. The best thing is that this can be reduced by taking the pills at intervals of 12 hours.

5. Lower abdominal pains are also some of the side effects that this magic pill brings, especially if you are one of the lucky ones who has never had the experience of cramps.

6. This pill can also tire you; hence, you need to be very hydrated and rest too.

The best part is that these symptoms usually end in a matter of days. If the symptoms persist, you will have to seek medical help.
