Gospel diva Patience Nyarko has advised musicians to moderately brand themselves in order to attract the holy spirit for God to evoke his divine blessings upon their careers.
According to her, some of their makeovers had scared the holy spirit away and had also withheld their blessings.
In a media dialogue, the singer stated that many were those gospel musicians who had missed real-life opportunities due to their inability to dress in a particular manner to perform at an event.
”Let me tell you one secret: excessive branding and heavy makeup as a gospel musician can lead to the Holy Spirit stepping aside. Too much of everything is bad! Sometimes, because of branding, some people refuse to perform at certain churches or stages, and that isn’t good. You may not know what holds for you there,” she said.
The “Wafom Kwan” hitmaker said she was not saying this to deter colleagues from branding themselves but was cautioning them to do it moderately for the holy spirit to guide their affairs.
“I’m not saying branding isn’t good, but too much of it also has its consequences,” she added.
