Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known by his stage name Mr. Eazi, is an Afrobeats singer who has officially verified the long-running rumors that he is married to his girlfriend Temi Otedola.
He claims that the music video for his song “Legalize” provides sufficient evidence that he was not secretly married to Temi Otedola, an actress and fashion blogger who is the daughter of millionaire and philanthropist Femi Otedola.
Mr. Eazi disclosed this in a recent interview with Naija FM, Lagos.
The singer said, “Who told you it was a secret wedding? Go and watch the video of my song ‘Legalize’, and you will get the answer to your question. We shot the video in Venice.
“If you watch the video, you will see proof there. Our outfits weren’t just costumes. Go and watch the video, and you will see everything. It’s just like what painters do: whenever you see their work, you will see the message they’re trying to convey. That’s how it’s with us musicians too.”
The singer took DJ Cuppy, Temi’s sister, to an event in 2017, which is how the couple first got together. Cuppy was scheduled to DJ, so she decided to let the two go socializing without introducing them, which is how their love story began.
Social media followers have been anticipating a grandiose wedding—one that never materialized—since their engagement last year. It appears that the couple chose a secret wedding to avoid being seen by prying eyes on social media.
