Lynx Entertainment signee Kuami Eugene has taken to the studios to record a rendition of KK Kabobo’s “Onyame Ehu Wo” track to allegedly respond to his form househelp, Mary, following her backlash against the artiste.
The house help with Titok named Mary Rockstar has been granting a series of interviews to drag Ghana’s rockstar, Kuami Eugene, image to the mud.
Mary, who gained popularity after continuous praise from the Angela hitmaker for her stewardship, mentioned in a recent interview that she took home a salary of GHC 400 when she started working for Kuami Eugene.
However, Kuami Eugene added an amount of GHC100 to her salary yearly.
“When I started working with him, he was paying me GhC400. However, after one year, he added Gh100 to it, making my salary Gh500. The following year, he did the same until he recently sacked me.
“He sacked me because I returned late from an errand. Frankly speaking, I got home late that day. A lady friend of his asked me to deliver something, and I think I got home after 12 a.m. that day.
“He asked me why I returned late, and I explained to him. He asked me if I knew Ghanaians would hold him responsible should something bad happen to me. He then gave me two options: either I pack my things or I will receive Gh400 as my salary (after the increment),” she said.
Kuami Eugene, in a swift response to the allegations, claimed that “Nipa bi y3 cobra.”
That did not deter Mary from being in front of the camera; she further granted interviews, claiming Kuami Eugene did what she allegedly said due to the fact that Asantewaa and Afia Schwarzenegger condemned her.
Mary once again replied harshly to those who defended Kuami Eugene.
In light of this, the rockstar has released a beef track to diss Mary and to remind her that God has seen everything she was doing to tarnish his image.
He vehemently said God was by his side, and he would not allow her to destroy the reputation he had built in the industry over the years.
The latest development may come as a surprise to many followers of Kuami Eugene, who has always flaunted a good relationship with his house help.
In March of this year, Kuami Eugene mentioned on Stripped by Sika, hosted by Sika Osei, that he had a brother-sister relationship with Mary.
He also noted that his housekeeper took very good care of him, just like his mom does, and due to that, his mom had developed so much love for her.
‘‘I’ve had a lot of people work for me, but no one has really stayed this long like Mary has,’’ he said.
