The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) best rapper of the year, Amerado, is set to headline his own concert dubbed “My Motherland,” slated for Thursday, December 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Okese Park, Ejisu, in the Ashanti Region.
He says the concert marks a significant milestone in his career as he takes the stage to celebrate his journey and connect with fans from his home region in a live performance.
“The feeling is always different when you go back home, and that is why I chose Ejisu for my maiden concert. This is a special moment for me, and I can’t wait to share it with my fans,” he said.
Amerado, in a media interview, promised an unforgettable experience and urged all Ghanaians to be part of it.
“Patrons should expect an electrifying performance, special guests, and an unforgettable night celebrating our love for music and the motherland. It means a lot to my career, especially when I see it as an appreciation token to my people for their love and support,” he stated.
The rapper noted that for the maiden concert to make a significant impact, there must be stakeholders involved to complement his efforts in giving out a captivating show.
“I want to use this medium to appeal for sponsorship. My team and I can’t do it without financial support,” he said.
Since breaking onto the music scene in 2018, Amerado, real name Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, has been adding his collections with good tunes such as Kwaku Ananse, Twa So, Box of Memories, I Am, Format, Juju, Taxi Driver, and Redemption, among other incredible songs.
He released his maiden G.I.N.A. album last year in October, which had 10 tracks.
