The Black Queens of Ghana have held their final training session ahead of the international friendly game against Nadeshiko Japan on Saturday, July 13, 2024, in Kanazawa at 6:24 a.m.
Nora Häuptle, head coach of Ghana, led her charges through an intensive session at the Go Go Curry Stadium in Kanazawa, Ishikawa.
Ranked 7th on the Coca-Cola FIFA World Rankings, Japan is faced with a litmus test at this year’s Paris Olympics, where they would face Brazil, Spain, and Nigeria in Group C.
“We know Japan were World Champions in 2011 and are currently ranked number seven in the world, and for us, this is a high-class team,” Häuptle said in the pre-match presser as she recognized the quality of her side’s opponents.
