The head coach of the senior national team of Ghana, Otto Addo, has warned of the difficulty in breaking down the Cranes of Uganda when the two teams meet in an international friendly on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
Otto Addo’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat to Nigeria on Friday, March 22, 2024. Rangers forward Dessers converted a penalty to give the Super Eagles the lead in the first half before Ademola Lookman doubled their lead in the 84th minute as Jordan Ayew halved the deficit in added time.
The Cranes of Uganda will take on Ghana in their second match of their two scheduled international friendlies after losing 4-0 to Comoros in their first match.
The coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, is wary of the threat posed by the Cranes despite their stunning loss to Comoros and warned they would be difficult to break down, especially in the first half.
“I hope that we will be able to score a goal in the first half because that will enlighten things, and if they have to come and try and equalize as it happened against Comoros, then we will have more space to exploit, and we can also make the second goal.
But like I said, I think the hardest thing will be the first half. To break them to score a goal, once we achieve this, everything is going to be easier.”
